Conditions
of use
multivesicular body in a heart muscle cell (rat)

A = anisotrop band (its length corresponds to the length of myosin filaments);
G = Golgi apparatus; I = isotrop band (shortens during contraction);
Grg = glycogen granules; Mn = Membrana nuclearis (nuclear membrane);
M = M-stripe (interconnections of myosin filaments); MF = myofibril;
Mi = mitochondrion (crista-type); Cmv = Corpusculum multivesiculare (multivesicular body);
N = Nucleus (nucleus); Va = vacuole (lipid droplet); Z = Z-stripe (interconnection of actin filaments).
*  = sarcomere (distance from one to the next Z-stripe, functional unit).
